Northern Swedish startups can now apply for SEK 44 million in innovation checks

Innovation checks for SEK 44 million are now available for small to medium sized companies in Northern Sweden to apply for, through Vinnova.

Several Swedish incubators in the nordic regions will be granting these funds, including Piteå Science Park, Artctic Business, Boden Business Park, Luleå Business Park and Skellefteå Science City.

“Through Swedish Incubators & Science Parks, we are now giving the chance for small and medium-sized companies in Norrbotten to innovate smartly for increased growth,” said Tore Johnsson, CEO of Luleå Science Park.

Opportunity to bring in external expertise

The money can be used for external expertise in three different areas; business development, infrastructure and intangible assets.

Limited liability companies and economic associations in the innovation phase can apply for innovation checks up to SEK 100,000 and infrastructure checks up to SEK 400,000.

“It is a fantastic opportunity that we have been given to support companies in their business development and innovation journey together,” Michaela Strömberg, business developer of Boden Business Park, said.

Decisions will continue throughout 2022. To apply, ask the science park in your area.
